Dimbola Lodge
Historic Site, Isle of Wight
The former home of the Victorian pioneer photographer Julia Margaret Cameron, now a museum and gallery in Freshwater Bay. Cameron lived here from 1860 to 1875 and used the house as her studio, producing portraits of Tennyson, Darwin, Herschel and other Victorian luminaries. The museum displays her photographs and tells the story of her life and work. The building also hosts temporary exhibitions and a tea room.
